While Shifting Harbor’s debut LP, “The Nearest Exit May Be Inside You”, is an album based in the cosmos as a journey of astral projection, the foundation of “Cycle of Return” is based on the life cycles of the Oregon Cascade mountain range.

The sounds within “Cycle of Return” evoke many different feelings and thoughts. The track titles alone might be enough to visualize another environment, but the sonic movements themselves paint the whole picture. This music is otherworldly, at times serene and other times ominous. Always meditative, and in that regard, cleansing in a sense.

Anima Recordings presents the album from Shifting Harbor, “Cycle of Return”, which sees a digital and cassette (which features several extra tracks).
